Oven Baked Nachos
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, it is so nice to have a handful of recipes that are quick, easy, and a crowd pleaser. I meal plan weekly, but life happens and sometimes the meal I originally planned…just doesn’t happen. BUT…oven baked nachos is a recipe I almost ALWAYS have the ingredients for.
I’ve made oven baked nachos with chicken, steak, vegetarian style, and ground beef. The best part of oven baked nachos is you use pretty much whatever ingredients you have in your kitchen. Tomatoes, peppers, onions, cheese, queso, grilled corn, salsa, beans…whatever you love on your nachos will work on these oven baked nachos.
Oven Baked Nachos
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 packet taco seasoning
- 8 oz tortilla chips
- 1 can olives drained and diced
- 1 cup Mexican shredded cheese
- 1 cup pepperjack shredded cheese
- 1 large jalapeño diced
- ½ cup queso sauce
- ½ cup salsa
Instructions
- Brown the ground beef and prepare it according to the taco seasoning package directions. As the beef cooks, layer the tortilla chips then half of the Mexican blend shredded cheese.
- Begin layering the other ingredients. I like to layer the vegetables before I layer any sauces. The longer the sauces are on the chips the soggier they become.
- Before adding the prepared ground beef, sprinkle half of the pepperjack cheese and then add the ground beef. Pour the queso over the top of the beef. Place in a preheated 350°F oven for 10-15 minutes or until the cheese is melted.
- Add the salsa and any other ingredients you didn’t want to become soggy in the oven, such as lettuce or tomatoes. Serve immediately.

This recipe can easily be doubled or tripled if you want to serve these for a larger crowd. The possibilities are really endless when it comes of oven baked nachos.
