Hot Fudge Sundae Cake

This week’s recipe is brought to you by my in-laws. A long while ago, my mother-in-law compiled a recipe book for a family reunion. Her family is from Eastern Idaho where the food is simple, tasty, and perfect for farm life.

I don’t know who on my in-law’s side of the family came up with this perfect dessert, but it quickly became a favorite in our house. It is quick and easy and a huge crowd-pleaser.

The water will have combined with the brown sugar/cocoa powder mixture and seaped to the bottom to create hot fudge and forcing the batter to move to the top which when baked with create the cake. Serve immediately with your favorite ice cream.
