- 2 boxes red velvet cake mix
- 4 large eggs
- ⅔ cup vegetable oil
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- granulated sugar
- heart shaped Reese's Peanut Butter Candies
In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, eggs, oil, and vanilla extract.
Mix on high until combined.
With a tablespoon sized scoop, scoop the batter and drop into granulated sugar. Roll around to cover completely and then place on a parchment paper lined baking sheet. Silicone baking pads work amazing as well.
Bake at 375°F for 14 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool for 5 minutes.
Press the heart-shaped peanut butter candies in the center of the cookie. Then immediately move from the baking sheet to a cooling rack. Adding the peanut butter candy too soon after the cookies are removed from the oven will cause the chocolate to melt quickly and the peanut butter center will ooze out.
Let cool completely before serving. Store in an airtight container for up to a week.
