    Fall Favorites

Hello Friends!!!!  I’ve totally missed you guys!  I know, I know…I’ve totally been MIA this month.  Honestly, October is totally kicking my bootie.  I  am currently taking a class towards my dietetics degree, Psychology of Addiction.  I am loving every minute, but it has been a HUGE balancing act between momming and studying.  This is the first class in a long while that I can’t just whip out the assignments and quizzes with little to no studying.  Combine that with a mobile 7-month-old who just wants to spend every minute playing with mom, my to-do list keeps getting longer and longer.  Fortunately, I am not regretting one minute with Goob. …

    Updating the Kitchen Island

My kitchen island is easily the most favorite aspect of my home.  It is what sold me on our house.  In fact, Mr. Man was the one who first walked through the model home with the same layout and as soon as he walked in and took one look at the kitchen he knew I’d love it.  By that time, we had walked through all of the model homes in the community we were hoping to buy/build in.  Nothing took our breath away.  But Mr. Man knew that I always wanted a kitchen island where I could roll out the dough for my cinnamon rolls without having to divide the…

    What’s In My Handbag

I am a handbag addict.  It all started 15 years ago when my grandma sent me a vibrant pink Liz Claiborne satchel for my birthday.  Before then I had only had one handbag and never thought much about it.  It was a black crocheted crossbody bag from Old Navy and it was on its last leg.  Using handbags and other accessories to liven up my outfits never occurred to me.  But that Liz Claiborne satchel…that started something.  Since then I’ve owned probably well over 200 bags, most of them from Shopko or Target.  Then 13 years ago I acquired my first, what I would consider, high street bag…a Dooney and Bourke…

    Summer Beauty Must-Haves

In the summertime, I don’t like to wear a lot of makeup and when I do I want it to stay in place even if I sweat.  The average temperature during the summer here in Vegas is in the low 100s.  Not to mention that usually some time in July Monsoon Season begins and the humidity can rival the south at times.  Full confession time…I inherited my dad’s sweat glands.  Body odor isn’t the issue, it’s the dripping sweat.  Totally disgusting, huh?  Anyway, here are my top summer-time beauty faves; there is some makeup, some skin and hair care, and of course, can’t have a proper summer without sunscreen. The sunscreen…

    Friday Favorites

photo credit: The Velvet Snout, http://www.thevelvetsnout.com/ Yesterday was the first official day of summer, and of course in true Vegas style, it was also the hottest thus far coming in at 111 degrees F.  At that temperature, you head to the pool, hunker down inside or escape to the air-conditioned movie theater.  We spent the day at the pool and Goob was a champ for it being his first time.  He stayed in the shade the whole time with me while the 3 amigos swam, but there wasn’t any crying, he just laid by me enjoying the mom time and being shirtless.  Dying to find out this week’s top favorites? …

    Friday Faves

With Goob turning 1 month old tomorrow, life has been crazy beautiful as a family of 6.  A few of these items are oldies but goodies and some are new favorites, but all of them have made my life over the last month easier and more enjoyable as a new mom…again.  In the chaos of family life, I like to remember how it feels to be put together and feel beautiful.  And as a mid-30s woman, I like to think that birthing 4 children (2 at one time) haven’t aged me too much. I am loving these button down, tie front tunics.  They are SO comfortable and make nursing/pumping extremely…

    Dressing the Mom-Bod

Getting dressed isn’t always a fun adventure, especially if your body type isn’t the body type you want.  Choosing clothes that look good and fit can feel like a chore.  It has definitely caused me anxiety and discomfort a time or two.  Jeans have been my arch nemesis over the years.  It took me a long time to find the right fit and brand that is comfortable, durable and looks stylish on my body.  For a long while, leggings were my go-to; but leggings aren’t a kosher option in most every situation other than running to and from school drop off/pick up and the gym.  Let’s face it, leggings are amazing…

    Friday Favorites

Athleisure has been my go-to attire since coming home from the hospital with Goob; since I spend most of my time lounging around with the new bebe and chasing after the other 3 amigos.  I just can’t get enough of these Bench hoodies.  I have this pink one and then I also have a turquoise one.  They are lightweight and comfortable.  Here I’ve paired the Bench hoodie with some Lululemon Street to Studio pants and Nike Air Max 90 sneakers. Two beauty products that I am living for at the moment have been the Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector and the NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer.  Both of these help me…

    Spring ’18 Fashion Picks

Every spring I find myself purchasing a new pair of Arizona Birkenstocks.  I wear them so often throughout the spring/summer/fall that they are pretty beaten and dead come winter.  My pick for this spring are these Arizonas in the Metallic Anthracite Leather.  Arizonas also run about 1-1.5 large on me.  I usually wear a 7.5 and I size down to the 6-6.5 in Birkenstocks.   Another shoe pick for this season is these Marc Fisher Annie Perforated Espadrille Platform Wedge in the color Sweet Nude Suede.  They run true to size and are extremely comfortable.  They look high and like they will kill your feet, but…
